This post will cover Thursday through Sunday.
Thursday was almost a regular day for me. I arose about seven and did my usual thing of applying heat to my back and knee and then I had breakfast which consisted of a bowl of granola and maybe a cookie.:) I then checked the Internet to see if there was any news from Utah and there wasn't any I was interested in. After Jeri and I had sufficient rest we packed our bags, and placed some of them in the pickup along with the boxes of granola, for the move to the reunion area, which is about 20 or 30 miles up the road to Lost Trail Pass. This didn't take very much time. I then I did what I do best, and Jeri used up some time on facebook, which is a good thing for her, and for me, she reads to me the comments that people post on facebook and this kind of keeps me posted on things that my family and friends are doing. Terry and Joan came home early and prepared for the journey tomorrow. It was a good day for me!
Friday morning I arose about six-thirty and sit around until everyone else was awake and then we loaded the rest of our stuff into the pickup and we waited while the rest of the family to be ready to leave; we left Pinesdale about ten-thirty and me wended our way to Hamilton where I filled the gas tank and bought a newspaper while Jeri went next door and bought some treats to give to our grandchildren at the reunion. We arrive around noon and I brought most of the stuff into our suite, and I do mean a suite fit for royalty, it had a king size bed and a TV so Jeri could watch the tennis matches. I also had some of the family take the chairs to the area around the fire pit in anticipation for the evening gabfest. Mike and his family came to Montana on Wednesday and spent Thursday in Glacier National Park and environs and didn't get back to Hamilton until Rather late in the evening. Mike had forgotten to bring Patrice her blood pressure meds so she 'bummed' :) three pills from me. Joan marked the exit that the Utahans should take and they arrived mid-afternoon.
Terry and his family cooked all of our meals and they were also fit for a king, which of course is very appropriate .:) Most of Friday and Saturday was worn away by talking, while the young male adults? were showing how testosterone effects their brains.:) And the really young were having fun playing with each other.
Saturday was almost like Friday, and there was no rain or incidents that would cause any consternation. On Sunday I was up and about before anyone else showed their face outside, which means I was the first one out and about. We loaded the Utah chairs into the pickup and I put our stuff onto the back seat and then said our goodbyes. Mike and his family left at ten; they had to be in Bountiful ready for a Priesthood Meeting at seven. Jeri and I, the Erbs' and the Higbees' left at eleven-thirty. We stopped at Roberts Idaho for gas and then Jeri and I were on our way home; the Higbees' and the Erbs' stopped in Pocotello for food. We arrived in bountiful shortly before six; it is marvelous how fast you can cover ground at 74 miles per hour. Because of the stop to eat Josh had to stop at Christophe's to get some clothes so he would be dressed-up for the ordination of Christian; Mike did the ordaining and did a really great job. Chris is ready to go on a mission, all he needs now is to get his 'call'.
The reunion was marvelously done by the Pinesdale bunch and I give them all of the credit for a wonderful time and for the wonderful time we had in Montana. The consensus is that we will probably go to Island Park in Idaho next year; I think that would be really good. Well that is about all for the reunion.

I was out of bed shortly after six this morning and it was not to soon; I thought all of my muscles had fossilized during the night. Today I finished two books that were really good. The first one was Three Cups of Green Tea; I think everyone will enjoy this book if you are persistent during the first several pages, and the other one was Mormon Women; out the fourteen interviewed I really enjoyed 12, I thought the other two were 'full of them selves' but then what do I know! The temperatures have taken a strong leap higher today and everyone is complaining about the heat; the big wimps. Terry, Joan, Jessica and Leon went to Missoula for the victuals for the family reunion and it looks like they will have plenty and enough to spare. The good Lord willing and the creek don't rise I shall post again tomorrow.
Tuesday June 23, 2009:
I would have made this post last night but for some reason the 'net' was down so here it is on Wednesday and I still don't have much to write about. Tuesday was a very ordinary day for me, I arose rather early and feed myself and the rest of the day was worn away doing what I do best, which some people might say is almost nothing but that is not what I would say. Hopefully
Wednesday will be chuck full of activity of the kind I can cope with. However, I am pleased to report that my back is getting better every day but, to quote some one I love a lot, it isn't all better yet.:).

Scott called last night to wish me a happy Father's Day; it was really great to talk to him. He indicated that he may come home for a visit in August. This morning I moseyed on down to Hamilton to purchase some viands and while I was there I bought some eye drops and a newspaper. I then came back to Terry's and did what I do best. This evening I bought another box of granola to take to Bountiful; I should have enough to last a few months. Of course it rained last night and again today but is supposed to be good weather tomorrow and the rest of the week, which will be a good thing for our reunion this coming weekend. Today was a good day for me; I stayed in bed until about six this morning and I have been using the heating pad to keep my muscles limber.:)

Sunday, June 21, 2009

Today was a really good day; after all it is Father's Day. I arose this morning before six and have been very busy ever since. Melissa and her kids came for a noon meal and the rest of the family came latter in the day. It was hectic but it was really great to be with the family. I had a call from Kevin and I talked to Eric when he called Terry, and Lee called as did Temaire', and she called really early. The weather was really good except for that rain storm that showed up for a short time, however, the temperatures were on the cool side of comfortable for me but I think Jeri thought it is right. Jeri called Sherry today to see if she and John were coming to the reunion, and they are not coming because Sherry is not doing well physically. If there is any news worth reporting I shall add it in tomorrow's report.
Saturday June 20, 2009
I awoke at six a.m. and got out of bed after eight hours, which is about the longest I have been in bed since I fell getting out of the bed a couple of weeks ago. I just fooled around until the rest of the people that are living in this house were up and out of bed. I didn't do much except walking around trying to get my muscles working like they used to.:) This evening Terry and Joan treated Jeri and I to dinner at the Rib Hut, which was really good, and then they took us to an excellent movie; they said it was our Mother's Day and Father's Day presents. After we got back to their place we chatted until about eleven and then I went to bed, which seemed to motivate the others to retire for the night. It was a very good day for me.

Friday June 19, 2009
Today was a good day for me. I got out of bed shortly after four a.m. and deposited myself in the recliner, which means that I was in bed over six hours. Jeri and I just kinda did what we do best.:) I finished a really weird book that Jeri thought I would like; she has a great record of picking good books but this was not as good I thought it would be. This evening Jeri and I went to Melissa's to eat pizza and ice cream sundaes to celebrate David's 17th birthday, it seems that my children, and grandchildren, get older every year, I wonder why I don't. And of course it rained again today, which has been the norm since we have been here in Montana.

Thursday June 18, 2009
Today was rather mundane, which means I checked the obits for my name and it wasn't there so I moved on to other things on the Internet. When Terry and Joan got home we went to Hamilton so Terry could retrieve his 'weed whacker' so he could pay some whippersnapper to whack weeds.:) While we were in town we bought a newspaper so we could keep up with the comics and the puzzles. The weather has been really good with some rain almost every day. However, we did receive an email from Scott informing us that he will not be here for the reunion because of illness, and that Katie has H1N1 and that she may not be able to be here. We pray that both of the sickies will recover rapidly and be about there business.

Wednesday, June 17, 2009

Last night was a first for me; I went to bed shortly after ten and stayed there until almost six this morning, and it was great to get that much sleep lying on my back instead of on the recliner. This afternoon we were invited to Jessica's for linner and we had a marvelous meal. It was the first time I have had a Navajo taco on a scone; it was excellent! After I ate that I had a scone with butter and syrup, and it was excellent! Jeri had her hair cut just before we went to Jess's place and it looked really good to me. It has rained off-and-on today but I was awake enough to know that the windows had to be rolled up.:) I hope this night will be as good as last night was.
Tuesday, June 16, 2009:
I was up and on the go early this morning. I was on the road to the post office to mail four letters to some of our grandchildren. I then spent the rest of the day doing very little but it seemed that I was always busy.:) It appeared that some of my muscles are getting tired of spending all of the time in the recliner so I did a dry run of using the bed tonight and it seemed that it would work alright so I shall try it tonight. The rain caressed the earth today, which is a good thing, unless you have left the windows down in your pickup.:(

Lee called us today and told us that one of my good friends, David Kelly, has died. He had spina bifida and was disableabled from birth, and spent most of his life in a wheelchair. Because he was always in the wheelchair or in bed he had a lot of trouble with bed sores that caused him to have his legs whittled away over the years if his life until he just had a torso, however, he never complained about his lot in life. Jeri had her INR test to day and it was 2.4, which made her day. This evening we went to Brecklyn's birthday party, she is now 3 years old. We have had rain, off and on, for the last few days. As you can tell I have had a good day except for the news about Dave.

Sunday, June 14, 2009

Today was another day of very little activity on my part, I went to bed with my sweetheart but could only stay about three hours before I had to go back to the recliner; I don't know what I would have done with out it. I made the decision that it wouldn't be good for me to try going to church because I need a good, soft seat with a good back support, however, unless there is some new pain I will venture to church next Sunday. I had a great day because a lot of my family was here to visit, however, Callie had a mishap while she was playing and fell on her arm and some were concerned if it was broken or not so they took her to the ER and had an xray and there was no brake but I was told they put on a brace; that was enough excitement for me. Here is wishing you all a good night as well as myself.:)
Today, Saturday June 13, 2009, was one of those days that has very little to talk about. I fooled around on the computer for a short time, made a trip, with Terry, to Hamilton to have a tire on his trailer fixed and then back to his mountain retreat. I did read some more in the book we gave Terry for his birthday; I am sure I will be finished with it tomorrow. That seems like very little action on my part but it is just the way I like it.

Friday, June 12, 2009
Today was a wonderful day! I put forth very little effort on any activity except recouping from yesterday's journey and reading a book by Baldacci, which is a really good novel, and talking to those I love.

Thursday, June 11, 2009

Today was a day of much activity; we were out of bed by 6:oo am and were on the road to Alaska before seven. We stopped at Terry's office for some supplies and then we were on our way to Sand Point Idaho. I saw a lot of things and places I have never seen before, which was like eye candy, it is wonderful to see some of the handiwork of the Lord. When we arrived at our destination we met the persons Terry would spend the rest of the day with and Jeri and I were privileged to go along. They, the two guys, got in their car and we were in Terry's and we were on our way to a fabulous mountain spot these guys are developing. It will have, I think, 38 homes and it is Terry's desire that they will be Whisper Creek houses, the vistas the owners will have are splendid. As Jeri and I were oohing and awing the other three were in grossed in deep conversation. When they were through talking we were on the road again for a few hours, we were on our way to Cewelah, Washington, where they were going to see a model house that Whisper Creek makes, and this process took a few hours; it appeared to me that they were impressed with what they had heard and seen. After that was finished, the lot of us, ate a meal, the conversation, I am sure, was gladden the soul of Terry. We said our goodbyes and then on our way back to Montana. Jeri and I had a great time tagging along on this marvelous adventure. All of our family are really good and generous to, and with us.

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

I have been castigated for saying that yesterday was bland, it seems that some of my offsping think that just because they came to see us made it unbland.:) David, Callie, Lexi and Madde ie came to see us for the afternoon; it was great to have them with us. Jeri parked herself on a chair in the sun and I didn't. Jeri and I are going on a business trip tomorrow, I shall make a report tomorrow. The weather has warmed a bit and 'they' say it is going t0 be even better the next few day, I say it is about time!!
Yesterday, that would be Tuesday, was a good day but rather bland. We moseyed on down to Hamilton to post a card and we bought some groceries while we were where they were.:) We took the back road coming back to Terry'; we saw some deer and some moose, oh it turned-out to be some cows. The rest of the day was consumed by doing what I do best, and Jeri was on facebook a couple of times and played some games on the computer, and I must say that I also indulged in a game or three.

Monday, June 8, 2009

Today was a rather mundane to say the least. Jeri had a nap this afternoon and I didn't, while she was doing that I was trying to find info on the SLC newsapapers but had little to no success. This evening we went to Hamilton to buy some food; oh by the way Scott owes me some money because he used one of my speciall words.:) I guess thats all for today.

Sunday, June 7, 2009

Another day has gone the way of all days that has pasted into the past.:) Jeri and I did not go to church today, the both of us are recuperating from the journey and the fall. I had a rather good and restful night and Jeri didn't get out of bed until after 10:00 am so she must of had a restful night also. After we had lunch Terry, Joan, Jeri, Jay, Tish and Ryal, went to see where we are going to have our reunion and it is a great place; the owners were there and gave us a tour of the joint. I think everyone will enjoy the event. We came back to Jess and Leon's and they fed us a great meal; we visited for a while and then came back to Terry's and watched the Lakers beat Orlando.;( I hope that all of the people that I love had as good of a day as I did!
This is going to be an unusual post; it will include last Friday first then Saturday so pay attention!!

Saturday: June 6, 2009

Today started at a decent time and I had a really good night, you will have to read Friday's entry to understand the statement. We got ourselves ready to go to Corvallis for Jonathan's graduation program. We were rather late getting there so there were not many places to sit and I was in no condition to sit anyway but Jeri found a really good chair to sit on so I went back to the truck and made myslef comfortable and had a breif nap. We then came back to Pinesdale and went to a party that was for Jon, which was a good time for all. The rest of the day was used up with conversing with the family. It was a really good day.

Friday: I arose early and was at the car wash by eight and cleaned the outside and inside of the truck and then filled the gas tank. When I got back home I finished packing my stuff into bags, and I do mean bags; some suitcase type of bags and some plastic type of bags and Jeri was doing the same sort of stuff with her stuff.:) And then we placed the stuff in the cab of the truck and then I put a bunch of chairs in the bed of the pickup, which included ours and our offspring's chairs that will be needed in Montana for our reunion. Shortly before 3:00 pm Jeri and I headed towards the place of Chris's graduation ceremony, which was excellent and was over at five. Jeri and I hurried to the pickup and placed our selves on our seats and headed north to Montana. The trip north was very uneventful all of the way to Pocotello where we stopped to get some victuals and then we headed north again, but at this time ole man weather decided to go along with us. We made good time and stopped at Robets and got some gas, and by this time the wind was blowing at least 50MPH from the west and we were going north, which is not a good thing, however, things were rather normal until we got to Dillon Montana where we turned West, after a couple of miles I though we had been transported to South Carolina because we entered in to a cloudburst of rain that was impossible to see very far in head of us; I had to slow to about 40 MPH and the wipers were trying to do their very best work but was not doing their job very well. and we were in-and-out of downpours and regular rain until the top of Lost Trail Pass where it calmed down to a sprinkled until we were into Darby. We need to stop every 2 hours-or-so to walk and keep the circulation of the blood in Jeri's legs but the rain was a hindrance of the until we got to Jackson where we found a large canopy over a porch that fronted a saloon, which was still open and having a good time. We walked for a few minutes and then we were on our way west. We arrived at Pinesdale shortly after two and we deposited ourselves in the allotted bed, which was a good relief. It wasn't very long before I was asleep, which didn't last long. About three-thirty I needed to get out of bed so I did and in the process I got myself tangled in something and fell into the bed poster and did what felt like sever damage to my right rib cage. And of course when Jeri heard the ruckus she had a flash back to Key West and thought I had another stroke so she was out of bed quickly and was somewhat relieved that wasn't true. I tried to get back into bed but that wasn't working for me so I went into the front room and tried the lounge, which worked quiet well.

Thursday, June 4, 2009

Today was a day of a lot of activity on my part. I fixed my Queen breakfast, did the dishes and then I went to the pickup, Chris removed the fifth-wheel from the pickup yesterday, and I removed the carpet that has been in the bed of the pickup for at least 20 years and it was filthy and in taters, I got debris all over me and the close by stuff. I took it to the cement and laid it out thinking I could clean it and then put it back in the bed of the truck but I decided to put it in the garbage and let the City of Bountiful take care of it for me. I then turned on the water to rinse-out the bed and it took me a lot of time to get everything washed out; tomorrow I will have to go to the car wash and wash the outside and clean the inside so we can go to Montana tomorrow night. I cleaned out the back seat of the cab and moved everything I wanted to keep into the trailer and made it so we could use the backseat for other things except junk. Jeri and I went to the hospital for her INR when she got the report they said it was low so they gave her a new regimen until she gets her next test. We then went to Barnes and Noble and Shopko and bought some things we really needed.:) I rested for a few minutes and then I started packing my stuff to take to Montana but of course I did spend some time on the porch. It was a busy day for Chris seeing that he is going to graduate tomorrow, and it was a busy day for me.

Wednesday, June 3, 2009

This morning I finished my indexing; I was finished about noon. I really enjoy doing that task, however it is hard to read some of the handwriting of some of the census; it seems they didn't know how to press hard on the pencil and didn't understand that some old gay like me would be looking at it a hundred years later. When I get back from Montana I am going to get some tutoring so I can do it faster. After I finished indexing I played a couple of games on the computer and did some research on indexing, which wasn't very profitable. We ate our late afternoon meal really late today so I had to make sure I didn't eat so much that I would have a hard time going to sleep.lol Of course Jeri and I wended our way to the porch and Patrice and Chris went with us, while we were there Jeri's cousin, who is in the Bishopric, and is wife came by and visited with us for about 20 minutes to a half-hour, which was really good. It was a really great day for me.

Tuesday, June 2, 2009

This day has almost bit the dust; the time stamp on the blog is really close to being one hour earlier than it actually shows on the blog. This morning I finished indexing the New York census report of 50 names, and it took a long time but of course the fact that I had to go back and correct some errors that I had made took up a grundle of time. I did an errand for Scott, and then some more indexing. We had some rain this morning and the temperature is in the low 70s, which is sufficient for me. Karen came to see us this afternoon; she is very easy to talk to and adds to the conversation; it is really great to have company. Chris is going to take the fifth-wheel out of the pickup so we can transport chairs and other things from Utah to Montana, I know that I will need a lounge to rest my weary bones, and we have had other requests for chair transportation and other sundry item. Dale Carling, he is Bob's brother, and is two years younger than we are; it was really great to hear from him. I think it has been well over 20 years since I have seen or talked to him; he and Bob and I spent a lot of time together and sometimes that was not a good thing for us and others, if you don't believe it just read my autobiography.
Monday's report: June 01, 2009

I used this day to do some indexing of record of Indiana; I'm really liking this effort and it keeps off the street. And of course I spent some time on the porch, however, we were forced off the porch when a rainstorm came through with some wind; there was as much rain on the porch as there was at the beginning of the flood of Noah's day.:) That is about it for this day.
