A new week started today and it is going to be packed with things to do, which I think will be ok.
Church was really good, and I had the occasion to give a sitting pad to a woman in the ward that has some leg problems and she was grateful for the pad. When we got home we baked a Papa Murphy pizza and it was really good. I then wore away a few hours getting on the Internet and registered to do indexing, which is much like extracting names of the past. Of course it took me a while to get setup and to figure-out how to acquire the info that I needed to index, and then I did a few indexing of files and now I am ready to get going.

Mike and Patrice and their family came home from ECR and reported they had a great time and it rained and was cool in the mountains. It is now after ten pm so I'm outa here for today.

I slept-in until 7:30 am, which is longer than I have done in many days and it felt really good. I read the paper and did the dishes and by then it was almost ten so I meandered out to Costco for some viands; I thought they didn't open until ten but I was told that they open at 9:30 on Saturdays. I did my shopping and was finished rather quickly and moved to the checkout area, stood in line for about five minutes and then was on my way home. I think that was the shortest trip I have ever made to Costco, especially on Saturday. I came home and we spent some more time on the porch and then we meandered out to Rose Park to visit with Lee & Cliff for about three hours, it was a great time spent trying to help Cliff make a loaf of bread in his 30 year old bread maker, which never happened. We then came straight home. I then went to Papa Murphy's for a pizza for lunch tomorrow, seeing as Mike and Patrice won't be home until late, and then spent some more time on the porch; I hope there are porches in Heaven.:)

Friday May 29, 2009

Today was a really good day for me. Shortly before noon I drove north about a mile to Bob Carling's place and visited with them for short time; they haven't changed very much since High School except they are a whole bunch older. Shortly before one o'clock Bob and I got in my pickup and we were headed for Rush Valley, it took us about an hour to get there, I had to stop at some business to get directions to Big Hollow, and then we made our way to Big Hollow to find Dick's place, I finally called him on the cell phone and we were about two houses away from his place. We found him and he really looks like an old man and for good reason, he will be 78 in November. We visited with him for a couple of hours and caught-up on his siblings and offspring. He told us he is still doing 'team roping' at rodeos and has about 16 saddles and five of them have been in the near past. I'm glad it is him and not I. His wife stayed away for about an hour and then came into the room and added some class to the event. We then wended our way back home. It was a great thing to get reacquainted with old, and I do mean old, friends. After I got home Jeri and I stayed on the porch until it got really chilly and then we moved inside. When I left the house this morning there was a whining noise coming from under the hood like it has been since I had the worked on a few days ago, they told me it was a belt noise but I was not sure that was the truth, however, after the trip out to Rush Valley the noise was gone, which is a really good thing.

An old day has pasted and this is a new day for me and you. Jeri and I went to the temple and did our hour-plus initiatory work and then we came home and sit on the porch, well we actually we sit on chairs that were on the porch. After we had done this for a short time we ate linner, and while we were gone Chris pulled some weeds from the parking area that I had sprayed with Roundup a month or so ago. The temperature is rather warm but that is to be expected this time of year, if we just wait a day-or-two it will cool down some.

I must tell you how and when I came across the word viands. About 40 years ago I read a novel about a family that lived in the 700/800 AD and they used this word frequently to describe how they kept from starving so I had to use the dictionary to see what it meant; if you read my journals you will see that I have used it very often. If you have discovered what it means and you use it you have to pay me a fee.:) The next time you see a word you don't know, that I use, you will discover that it will always be used in the proper context.:)

Today was a typical day for Wednesday. We got outa bed and ate some viands and then we moseyed on over to the Humanitarian Center and did our two hours of labor. Jeri did what she always does and I folded towels like I did last week and then I took tooth past out of their individual box and put tube of paste in a plastic container, and then I started putting tooth bushes, in groups of four and inserted them into a small plastic bag. For the last 20 minutes-or-so Jeri helped me finish the job. We filled 100 bags, which means we bagged 400 brushes. We then come home and do what we do best and we did on the porch. Before we went to the Center I firmed up going on a jaunt, with Bob Carling, out to Rush Valley to visit our ole pal, Dick Davis. We are going out Friday afternoon; the Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise. It was a really good day for me.

Tuesday, May 26, 2009

This morning I slept in until six-thirty and then I read the newspaper and prepared Jeri her usual breakfast, which is a sliced orange and some toasted homemade bread with butter and honey on it. Early in the morning I got a call from Entran and they informed me that not only the oil pan needed a gasket so did the valve lifter cover so I told them to fix it and I asked the manager if it was going to fixed today and his reply was rather vague. However, I made a decision that it would be fixed tomorrow. Jeri had the RSVT (Relief Society Visiting Teachers) came a calling, however, one of them had a coughing fit and had to go home early so Jeri and I decided to sit out on the porch. About three I was convinced that it would surely tomorrow, however, I got a phone call telling the pickup was ready to go so I asked Chris if he would take me to Murray to retrieve the vehicle. I payed the $362 and some cents, then we were on our way to Catherine Street to return the Higbee's car, and thanking them for the us of their car it seems that everything is as it should be and I saved over $300.00 because Jeri suggest that I call Noe Garrido.

Monday May 25, 2009

Memorial Day and may we all remember those who have sacrificed their all for our benefit. To celebrate this day we used up a lot of time on the porch and looking at the flowers that we planted by the mailbox post. Shortly after lunch we moseyed on out to Jaycie's to give her some books that Jeri has be saving for her, after a brief stay we were on our way to the Higbees' to visit for awhile, and lo and behold Chris and Karen were there so we visited with the four of them for and a considerable amount of time, and talked about all of the troubles that come into peoples lives. When Chris and Karen left Cliff drove his car out to Entran so I could drop off the pickup and then they let us borrow their car until the pickup has been repaired. It was a very eventful day for me and I like these kind of days.

Saturday: May 23, 2009.

Today was a good day. We bought some Chrysanthemums and planted them by the mailbox pedestal, Jeri said it was in memorial to our parents and we will think of the every time we see the flowers. We also did our special trip through the cemetery that is in our backyard, metaphorical speaking, and we saw some headstones with the Warner name so I stopped and took a look and saw that it was a marker for Don Owen Warner; he was born in Fillmore and the son of Owen Warner who is my dad's cousin and Don was Melvin's friend while he was going to school Fillmore. We also saw Lew Pilkington's headstone, he used to live in Rose Park but he wasn't content to be in modest Rose Park so he moved to Bountiful.:) And to cap off the day we cleaned the upstairs; this chore gets harder as I get older but I do a great job. And of course we sat out on the porch and watched the neighbors water, mow, and other sundry things around their yards, this area is chuck full of old people. Jeri made the comment that our front yard is like an arbor with all of the trees and the porch, which gives us good access for seeing and yet not so conspicuous to be seen. It was a really great day.

Sunday, May 24, 2009:

I arose at six and had the paper read before I had to get ready for church but of course I did get ready and we all went to church. We had a great Sacrament Meeting; the Stokes (he is a counselor in the Bishopric) family were the speakers and they all did a very good job and the rest of the meetings were really good; it is wonderful when that happens. After church Mike made sloppy joes and with some chips and did along with watermelon we had a scumpulous meal. After we finished eating we watched a DVD, 'Taken', which was really good. We then spent the rest of the day doing those things that I do best; for you that may not know what I do best I shall tell you; I do what I want to do the best and that is spitting, whittling and watching and telling other people what to do! It has been a great day for me.

Friday, May 22, 2009

Today has been a very interesting day for me. I arose at exactly six a.m.; I hate it when I wake so early but that seems to be the norm. I went to the side lawn and started watering that lawn and I was through in about an hour; I pulled a chair out on the lawn and sit down and soaked the lawn. Later I went to Burt Brothers to see if they would replace the gasket to the oil pan on my pickup but they declined saying they were not equipped to do that job so they recommended me to another place. When I called them for an appointment and to ascertain the cost; they gave me a quote of almost $700.00, which I thought was rather pricey so I called a couple of other places and they were somewhere in that area. Jeri suggested that I call Noa Garrido, who is now in our Stake Presidency, to see what he would charge. During our conversation he verified that I was Cliff Higbee's father. When I told him that was right he said he would fix it for less than any one else in the valley and give me an estimate of 3 to 4 hundred dollars so I am going to take it to him on Tuesday, Monday is a holiday you know. I was planning on going to see Dick Davis but Jeri suggested I might want to invite Bob Carling to go with me so I called him and he did indeed want to go even though he had both of his knees replaced in the last couple of months; he said his recovery is slow and painful but he still wants to go so I called Dick to tell him I would not be there today but his wife answered the phone. I told her about Bob wanting to come with me and that I will call Dick next week and see when it would be best for him. This evening we bought some flowers to put around the mailbox post at the curb, I think they will look really nice. I pulled some weeds from the flower garden and then we sat on the porch and enjoyed the scenery and the activities of our neighbors. It was another really good day.
Thursday May 21, 2009

Today we did the usual thing except we didn't have to INR thing; that comes next Thursday. Jeri did initiatory work for five of Linda Roscoe's decedents; Ron has become very active in that area since Linda passed away a while ago, and I did 8 for some people that lived in Spain in the very late 1700s and the early 1800s, and two from France in the same time frame. There was one guy there that had a terrible time pronouncing their names and I thought that it is a good thing the Lord know who we mean. We come home and rested for awhile until Chris came from school then we watched him place the sand and the paver stones where Jeri wanted them to make the ingress and egress easier for her.

Blogger: UtahJaws.blogspot.com - Create Post

It is now Wednesday so we did our usual thing, which is spending a couple of hours at the Humanitarian Center; today I folded hand towels, and a lot of them had the meal embodied on it telling which meal it was to be used for. It was easier that the diaper thing, however, Sister Peterson asked me to make baby caps, one of the tasks was to tie a knot at the top of the cap with some yarn left to make it pretty but I couldn't do this task because of the smallness of the yarn; it was a case of my inability of moving my fingers on my right hand as I had to. So Jeri and I left, we had been there for two hours, and we needed to do some errands on the way home. We stopped at Lowes and bought some paver sand and a couple of stepping stones and then we went to Costco and bought some viands. We then come home and ate our late afternoon meal. I did rinsed the dirt off the pickup but I am going to have to take it to the car wash in the next day or two. There has been a cool breeze all day and it is really refreshing.

Tuesday I finally made contact with Richard Davis, which I have been trying to for a long time. He lives in Rush Valley, which is about 20 miles west of Tooele on the road to Delta. I think I will go see him this Friday. Jeri and I spent a lot of time this day sitting on the front porch watching people travel up and down the street. Christian summarized the fountain so his grandmother could listen to the water gurgling. Late in the evening some rain clouds came by and dropped some water on the landscape and on my pickup, which deposited a lot of dirt all over my transportation but it cooled the air and made it much more comfortable. As you can tell this was a really lazy day for me.

Tuesday May 19, 2009

We used up most of the day sitting on the porch and making comments about the people that traveled up or down the street. It was a perfect day. Christian fixed the waterfall so Jeri could listen to the splash of the water. Soon after the waterfall was fixed it rained a little bit but it was mostly off-and-on for about thirty minutes. Oh, I once again made a loaf of bread, even if I say so myself, I make a really good loaf of bread.:)

I finally found one of my childhood friends, I have thought for a long time that he lived in Rush Valley, which is about 20 miles west of Tooele on the road to Delta, and sure enough that is where he lives. Oh, by the way his name is Richard (Dick) Davis, he is the son Fay, the school bus driver that I caused to have 'fits' when I rode the bus; I think I shall go see him this Friday.
Monday May 18, 2009

There was not much happening today except I went to Salt Lake City and picked up Lee and then we went to the dermatologist for Lee to get some new meds and had a spot on her nose lasered, which she said really hurt, however, the doctor had to use a whole can of liquid oxygen to cover all of the spots on my head and face and I know that one really small spot on the nose is rather insignificant.:) Lee has to go back in a couple of months and I shall go on my regular four-month schedule.

Temaire' asked what was up with my fingers, so here goes. In the winter of 2007 I had two very minor strokes; one when I was in Key West, in March, with Scott and Jeri, which left no damage. I had another small stroke in April which effected the movement of my thumb, fore finger and the middle finger on my right hand, which has made my signature rather difficult to decipher. My take on this is that is the only thing damaged but there are some that wonder.lol

Sunday, May 17, 2009

We arose shortly after seven and got ourselves dressed and then ate a breakfast of melon and English muffins, which was really delicious. We left the Manis' about ten and moseyed through the hinterlands to see some of the area we haven't seen for several years. When we got on the main highway out of town I set the cruise control on 65 and we motored our way to Bountiful, which took about two and a half hours. When we got home it took just a few minutes until I had all of paraphernalia into the house. We got caught-up on the things that had happened while we were gone, which wasn't much. This evening we went to the church to witness Christian get his graduation certificate from Seminary. They had a very good, short, program but not many young people in the Val Verde State so there was only about 20 graduates. After the program they had some very yummy snacks for us.

Prior to the program we someone told us that one of the councilors in the Stake Presidency was from Delta, so when he came by I asked him if it was so and he said yes. It turned out that he was the son of a really good friend of Melvin's and was a cousin to Bonnie Manis; it is indeed a very small world. Oh, his name Jerry Hawley. I think I am now up to date on this blog; if you haven't figured it out by now this is also my journal. It seems that maybe I have said this before but if that is true I understand that you have probably forgotten by now. Adios for today.

Thursday, May 14, 2009

Today was a very usual day for we two people. We went to the hospital and Jeri gave some blood so her INR could be ascertained; it was 3.0, which is not perfect but within the borders, while Jeri was doing this I called Nola and wished her a happy eightieth birthday. We then went to the temple and did initiatory work, which lasted about an hour; this is easier than doing some of the other things because of the lack of control I have over the first three digits of my right hand. We then came home and did some things to get ready for our humongous trip to Millard county.

Friday, May 15, 2009

I crawled out of bed shortly after six a.m., had a bowl of granola and did the dishes. I then went to town and got some money from the magnificent ATM and then stopped at Smith's to get some gas and then washed and vacuumed the pickup. After that was done I came home and we loaded our stuff into the backseat and about 10:30 we were headed for Hinckley, however, we only got to SLC and I had to turn around and go back home and fetch my meds for the weekend, and then we were on our way to Hinckley. We kind of made a mistake and went south on Redwood Road and for a few miles we were in the throes of road construction and it was really slow going south. After we were out of the construction area it was clear sailing toward Highway Six and then it was up and over the mountain at Eureka. We arrived at the Manis's sometime near 1:30 and then we had to go to Delta for Walt to get his INR checked; it was 3.5, which is not too good but the doctors in Delta don't seem to be concered about it and Bonnie thinks she knows how to regulate the meds but I don't have that much confidence in her medical skills. We then went to Leo's for lunch and then back to Hinckley and wore out the day talking about old and new things in our lives.

Saturday, May 16, 2009

I was up and about before the other sleepy-heads. About ten, Walt and I went for a ride down to the Bogs, where Dad's farm was. I wanted to see how things looked and the crops looked OK but the area where the corrals used to be was all sagging or broken-down and looked like no one had done any work on them since 1950.:)
We then rode down to where Walt and his family spent a few years when they first moved to Millard County. We then toured the area, and I was surprised at the two new homes that have been built down in that farm area. We then came back and Bonnie & Walt went to a class reunion and Jeri and I didn't. About 3:00 Jeri and I started a tour of Hinckley that took us about and hour and a half; Hinckley has a lot of yards that have become a bone-yard for all sorts of junk cars and other debris. At 4:30 we went to our reunion and had a great time talking to people that I haven't seen in many years. The food was tolerable and the conversation was stupendous! The shindig lasted about three hours and it appeared that everyone had a great time; I think we shall go again next year, If the Good Lord is willing and the creek don't rise. We then went back to the Manis's and talked until 1:00 am Sunday Morning. It was a great day for me.

Wednesday, May 13, 2009

Make sure that when you read the blog about yesterday to put in a comma after the word thinning so the sentence doesn't say my head was being thinned.

About eleven o'clock I constructed a loaf of bread; it certainly seems like this is a very regular event but it doesn't take much time. Around noon Jeri and I went to the Humanitarian Center to do our weekly 2 hours. When we got there a small group of young people that were mentally handicapped were folding diapers so I waited for about three minutes and they left. When I started doing the diaper thing I learned that they had a new way of folding and pinning, which was much quicker to do and much easier. It is always a good thing to watch what other people do things.:) About an half-hour before we were ready to come home Jeri ran out of work so she came and helped me fold diapers as did an other guy, it seemed they could put 'new born' kits together faster than I could do the diaper thing. We came home and ate linner about three o'clock and I deposited the new loaf of bread in the cupboard.

I called Del Pease and told him him I wouldn't be here this coming Sunday; he really likes the third Sunday to do the Home Teaching, and it is my time to teach. I told him that Jeri and I going to our High School Reunion. It is mind boggeling that we have been out of High School 59 years but it has. We are going to leave here Friday morning and come back Sunday morning; the Manis' invited us to come and stay with them, which is what we are going to do.

The temps were in the 30s this morning when I arose at 6:00 am and didn't get a whole lot warmer during the day. When we came back from Centerville, where we do the humaniterian thing, the house was so cold we had to get the portable heater running in our frontroom to get warm and it really felt good, however, 'they' say is is going to be warmer tomorrow and that is what I hope happens. Thats all for now folks.
I know that today is Wednesday but this is yesterday's entry. In fact not much happened yesterday except we trimmed the bush that is at the front of the house; the sprouts were getting high enough that they were interfering with my view so down they come and in my opinion it is much better.:) While I was trimming my head become heavier than my rear and I fell head-first into the bush, which caused some consternation on Jeri's part. It was a good thing she was there or I would have had hard time getting this old body out of the bush and erect. Then I broke a cardinal rule and turned on the sprinklers on the front lawn so the fertilizer and dandelion killer could be activated. When Chris got home from school we were quizzing him about sprinkling the lawn on the east side of the driveway and he told us where the hose and sprinkler was but we couldn't use the Weber Basin water during the hours of 10:00 am and 6:00 pm, whoops. It was a good thing the water police didn't come by while the sprinklers were on. Well, maybe there was more going on than I originally thought!

It was really a great thing to sit on the front porch, which I haven't done for a long time, and look at the snow on the hills on the west side of the Salt Lake valley, and the snow capped hills of the mountains on the east side; this is a wonderful part of Zion, no wonder the Lord directed the pioneers here.

Monday, May 11, 2009

Today is quickly coming to a close, and I didn't do very much today. We did go to the strip mall, no we didn't strip, and bought some flowers for the shepherd's hook we placed in the back yard Saturday. Then we came home and rested from our labors. Sometime close to noon Marin showed up at our place and she had rescued Coal from the Animal Shelter; I was glad to see he was back home. Chris and Marin set outside for quite a long time talking, I don't know for sure what they were talking about but I think Coal had to be the main focus for a long period of the time they were talking. The temps were in the 70s with a slight breeze that made it a very pleasant day; I hope we shall have many more just like it.

Sunday, May 10, 2009

Another Sabbath day has almost slipped into history, however, this day is not like most of the rest of the Sabbath days of the year, this was the day we gave thanks to our mothers, living and dead. My mother was a really great mom and I loved her very much; she was always kind to my friends and they liked to come to our home, she was into discipline when she thought it was necessary and she thought it was necessary whenever I did some thing wrong, which was very infrequent.:) The next person to mention is the mother of my children; she was the best mother any child could ever have. She filled the gap that their father left. The other mothers I want to praise are the mothers of my grand, and great grand children.

Jeri and I went to church in Rose Park today; all of the heathens in Bountiful sluffed some of their meetings.:( After church was over we went to Lee's and Cliff's for dinner along with Cliff and Doris Higbee, the meal was wonderful and the company was also more than adequate. About seven pm we came home and had some very good brownies with hot fudge topping and strawberries that Mike and Patrice left for us.

On the way home, Scott called his mom, and they chatted for a while, it is really good when we get to talk to him in person and it is good to get emails from all of the kids, plus Jeri converses with the kids and grans on facebook, which she really enjoys.

Now back to church in Rose Park; it is always wonderful to be with old friends and to be updated with what is going on in their lives. I saw and talked to a couple of young men that I thought a couple of years ago and they are now 16 and very handsome. We saw Norma Philbrick and she was sporting her new wig; she lost her hair do to radiation, and she looked really good. She told us the Bob is not feeling well and can't get off the feeding tube, which is though on both of them. I hope that I don't live long enough to have such poor health, both physically or mentally that I can't take of most of the things I need. Oh, I know that some of my offspring the time has come and past a long time ago.

I shall say adios for now and talk to you later.

Saturday, May 9 2009.

Another week is almost gone and the weather here is really great. Today I cleaned most of my tools out of the basement of the trailer and all of the sundry items that go along with this kinda stuff, which means, nuts and bolts, screws, nails, etc etc, and I repaired one of our canvas chairs. We then went into Mike's back yard and Jeri did what she likes to do most, and that is putting Shepard hooks in the so that stuff can be put around yard that reflects the sun, and a lizard that is crawling up the barrel that is hooked up to a pitcher pump; if you don't know what a pitcher pump is go the story of my youth. While we were doing this Mike and Christian was pulling weeds, cleaning tables and benches, the grill and the eating tables and the umbrella over the table.

While we were doing these things; Coal, their dog, escaped and as of this writing hasn't been apprehended as of this writing which is about four hours from the time he went missing, and Christian is very sad because of him being gone. It is my hope that one of the neighbor kids will find him and escort him home and I'm sure that Marin will be upset also.

Keven & Becky came out to see Jeri this afternoon and brought her a gift and stayed an hour or so, which was really nice, and then they boarded their motorcycle and went home.

For some reason the time stamp on this blog is about one hour different that what time here, it appears that it my be Pacific Standard time. That's all for now.

Thursday, May 7, 2009

This morning was rather uneventful, however, shortly before noon we went to the hospital for Jeri to have a blood draw for her INR test. After that was finished we went to the temple and did some initiatory work, which took about an hour and a half. We then came home and watered the plants and other sundry foliage. The weather is still bodacious, that is just to annoy Temaire'.:) It is 65 degrees as I write this epistle, which is just the way I like it. I will publish Jeri's INR in the comments section.

Wednesday, May 6, 2009

Here it is Wednesday evening and the weather is bodacious. I arose rather late, about six-thirty and then I do what I do best. Shortly after noon we went to the Humanatarien Center and did our usual thing, however, I folded about twice as many diapers as I did last week; I must be getting the hang of that process. While I was doing the diaper thing Jeri was busy quilting with a couple, and you know what my meaning of couple is, women. I overheard her talking to a woman who claimed to be a Warner and Jeri got her to admit that she was from the Warners' that are from Utah County, which means they are part of the inferior strain.:) That about sums-up my day.

Here's hoping that tomorrow will be as good as today was.

Tuesday, May 5, 2009

Fifty years ago my sweetheart and I were hitched, meaning that we were a team, to use a farmer reference :) and we have been pulling together since that day; I wouldn't be whole without her.

I arose rather early but not too early to get 'my' work done; I had it done about ten o'clock and then I read the paper and checked the obits to see if I am still alive and i discovered that Jeri will have to contend with me for at least another day or two; I hope that we will have some more years on this earth. You can tell were are really getting old because we are going to celebrate by staying home.

What is great about this computer world is I can do this blog and listen to Josh Groban at the same time. We received a very sweet email from Scott wishing us a very good day.

Unless there is some of great report this is it for today.

Monday, May 4, 2009

It is now 4:32 pm and nothing much has happened today that is of any consequence but I will make a report any way. I made a loaf of bread; it sure seems to me that we work our way through a loaf rather quickly, I guess I'll have to stop making it so it tastes so good, oh, I can't do that, it is not in my nature not to do my very best at whatever I do.l0l

The rain kissed the flowers this morning and they look really good as do the lawns. The weeds I sprayed the other day are turning brown and trying to cover their heads in shame; it is a good thing they are responding to the first shot or I would have to do it again. It has always been my motto to do it right the first time.:) Don't touch that dial because I'm coming back tomorrow.

Sunday, May 3, 2009

SATURDAY: Was a very uninteresting day, except for the three hours we spent with Kevin and Becky; we were invited to their place for pizza and and a movie, to celebrate my birthday, and we had a great time. It rained rather hard on the way to their place and was still sprinkling on our way home.Well, maybe it was more interesting than I thought seeing that I arose shortly after five AM, don't ask me why, it just seems that after 7 or 8 hours in bed I need to get on my feet.

SUNDAY: Today was much more interesting to me. Church was a typical Fast and Testimony meeting, which means some people did indeed bare a testimony and it seemed that a couple got up so we could hear them talk.:( Sunday School was great; Sister Gardner gave a good lesson but she can't come close to Mike as teachers go, and I'm not just saying that because he is my son, and Priesthood meeting was excellent; Bob Kime is a great teacher and I always tell him so, I want him to know that I don't harbor any animosity toward him anymore.

While I was trying to listen to one of those who bare their testimony every month my mind started to wonder and I went back to my pre-earth existence and reminisced about the conversation that I might have had with Father. It went something like this; I promise that I will do everything You want me to, and He replied "no you won't!" "However, I have a plan so that you can still come back and live with Me forever; I shall supply a Savior that will take upon Himself all of your sins if you will repent of your sins, or there is a better way even than that, and that is for you to not do anything wrong but I know you won't be successful at that so be sure that you repent of all sins. I want you to return to Me so be sure to do what you are told." I know that I didn't do the first thing He suggested so I must avail myself of the offer to place my burdens on His shoulders.

This afternoon the weatherman put on a short show for us, we had lightning and thunder for a minute or two and then the storm was gone, which was a good thing. Mike and Maren are still in Las Vegas, it will interesting to hear what they did today.:)

Oh, by the way, I lost my blog out in never-never land but some diligence I finally found it; I always wonder where things go to hide from me.
